Double Your Impact Through Employer Gift Matching

Your generosity may go even further than you think.

Many employers offer matching gift programs, meaning they will match charitable donations made by their employees, sometimes dollar-for-dollar or even more. A matching gift is one of the simplest ways to double or even triple the impact of your support for Stride For A Cure.

With just a few minutes of your time, your donation can create greater awareness, deeper community support, and a lasting ripple of hope for those affected by breast cancer.

Where to Get the Matching Gift Search Widget

🔹 Double the Donation’s Matching Gift Search Tool
This is the same industry-leading searchable database used by thousands of nonprofits to let donors look up their employer and see their company’s matching gift program details. You can embed it directly on your website so visitors can search for their employer’s information without leaving the site.

Here’s how it typically works:

  • Donors type the name of their employer into the search box.

  • The tool suggests companies as they type (autocomplete).

  • After selecting a company, donors see that company’s matching gift guidelines and links to forms.

📍 You can request a demo or subscription from Double the Donation to get access to the embed code for your nonprofit. Once you have the code, you can place it on any page of your Stride For A Cure site, usually a dedicated “Employer Matching Gifts” page or within your donation flow.

🛠 How to Add It to Your Website

Double the Donation provides an embed code (usually HTML/iframe) that you can paste into your site’s content area where you want the search box to appear. Their support documentation explains how to copy this code from your Double the Donation account and place it on your site.

Typical steps include:

  1. Log in to your Double the Donation account.

  2. Go to Settings → Plugin Settings.

  3. Find the Matching Gift Search Plugin embed code.

  4. Paste the HTML/iframe into your website page (e.g., a dedicated “Matching Gifts” page).

Why This Works

Adding a matching gift search tool can significantly increase your nonprofit’s revenue because many donors don’t know their employer offers a match until they see it right there. When this tool is available:

  • Donors are more likely to check eligibility.

  • They may increase their donation because it can be doubled.

  • You make the process clear and easy rather than confusing.
